U Kyaw Myo, Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications replied to the question raised by U Maung Myint of Mingin constituency as to whether there have been any plans to build up “National Database Center and Network Lines covering nationwide, “As regards Project on building e-Government Integrated Data Center, analysis of possibilities needed for implementation of the project was launched starting from June 2017.
At our request, the permission to use the land needed for the project was granted in Zabuthiri Township.
The project will be implemented commencing in 2018, and it is expected to last for 3 years or so. So as to collect news and information in accord with the changing time by linking with national data center, fiber channels and microwave channels have been built up across the nation.
Arrangements will be made to use these channels by linking with Myanmar Condo SAT 1, co-hired together with Intelsat Company.”
Afterward, Deputy Minister replied to the question raised by U Win Htut of Pyapon constituency, “In the tenure when the incumbent government took office, no permission was issued to any person to produce motor vehicles as produced by previous industrial zones.
Out of remaining vehicles produced by previous industrial zones having licenses to produce motor vehicles in the reign of the former regime only 274 units qualified for testing were managed to be checked in accord with the
prescribed policies.
They all were found to have been installed with imported old spare parts and locally made parts combined.”
He added, “Presently kinds of producing motor vehicles through the old system were no longer granted. Instead, production of brand new cars to be produced local private companies and joint-venture companies have been permitted with the approval of Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC), through SKD system. Instructions had been issued not to change parts produced by local industrial zones into the types of foreign made cars, and as of 1st September 2016, production stopped.”
In addition, U Set Aung, Deputy Gevornor of Myanmar Central Bank and U Kyaw Myo replied to the questions concerning permission of granting retail banking services to 13 representative offices of foreign banks, matters on wastage of finance in building dams and embankments presented by U Myint Lwin of Pazundaung constituency, U Tun Tun Naing of Kani constituency, U Nay Myo Htet of Kyauktada constituency and U Min Kyi of Thandwe constituency.
Following the discussion of the report of Pyithu Hluttaw Farmers and Workers Affairs Committee by U Sein Win of Maubin constituency, Daw Khin Than Nu of Mindon constituency, U Lon Jone San Mai of Sombrabon constituency, Daw Aye Mya Mya Myo of Kyauktan constituency, U Khin Maung Thein of Sagaing constituency and Daw Cho Cho Win of Mawlaik constituency, it was approved by the Hluttaw.
In today’s meeting, reading out of the annual report of Pyithu Hluttaw Justice and Legal Affair Committee and inviting to enlist the names of the representatives to discuss in the meeting were performed.
