National Reconciliation and Peace Center (NRPC) Chairperson State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received the New Mon State Party’s Vice Chairman Nai Han Tha at the NRPC guest hall in Nay Pyi Taw at noon yesterday.
Together with NRPC Chairperson and State Counsellor at the meeting were NRPC Vice Chairman Union Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor U Kyaw Tint Swe, National Security Advisor U Thaung Tun, Deputy Minister for Ministry of President’s Office U Min Thu, NRPC secretary Deputy Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor U Khin Maung Tin, Office of the State Counsellor Director General U Zaw Htay, while New Mon State Party Vice Chairman was accompanied by Nai Zayya, Naing Layikaung, Naing Win Hla and Naing Aung Ma Ngwe.
Participation of the New Mon State Party in the peace process was cordially discussed at this meeting.
In the afternoon, NRPC Vice Chairman Union Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor U Kyaw Tint Swe hosted a working lunch for the delegation of the New Mon State Party.
The working lunch was also attended by NRPC member Lt-Gen Min Naung from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army).
