State level coordination and information meeting on Myanmar Micro-nutrient and Food Consumption (MMFC) Survey was held on the morning of 18 September in the meeting hall of State Department of Public Health, Haka and the meeting was attended by State Minister for Social Affairs U Paung Loon Min Htan, State Minister for Planning and Finance U Wi Kaw, heads of state level departments and health personnel.
In his address to the meeting, State Minister for Social Affairs U Paung Loon Min Htan said in order to prepare and draw up programs to effectively prevent and treat problems of nutrient deficiency and nutrient profusion.
In his address to the meeting, State Minister for Social Affairs U Paung Loon Min Htan said arrangements were made to conduct MMFC Survey to prepare and draw up programs that effectively prevents and treats problems of nutrient deficiency and nutrient profusion, upgrade the people’s nutrition level by enabling the people to consume adequate and balanced nutrients and review the effectiveness of presently conducted nutrition development works.
Next head of Chin State Department of Public Health Dr. Hnin Pa Pa Khine gave a Power Point presentation on conducting MMFC Survey and questions by meeting attendees were answered by responsible officials.
According to State Department of Public Health, MMFC Survey will be conducted in 30 wards and villages in districts and townships of Chin States it is learnt.
