Arts Exhibition by NUCFA teachers in Yangon Public Square.

Teachers of the Painting Department of the National University of Culture and Fine Arts (NUCFA) (Yangon) organized an Arts Exhibition titled “Spectrum of the Origin of the River” at the Yangon Gallery in Public Square in Yangon on 22 October.
At the event, the works of the teachers of the Painting Department of NUCFA were displayed for the students and the artists, said Professor U Myat Tun Aung.
He added the exhibits would hopefully interest the public in Myanmar arts.
At present, painting is in a period of new development in Myanmar, he said.
He also urged the new generation of youths to put more effort to boldly create their works.
The three-day event, which featured 118 works — watercolours, oils, acrylics — with different subjects created by 17 teachers of the Department of Painting, was held from 22 until 24 October. Students and artists visited the exhibition.
The Painting Department has arranged a plan for students to meet with artists from Switzerland in November and will organise workshops for development of the Myanmar Painting world.
