Wood crafts sell well at 4th Irrawaddy Literary festival in Mandalay

WOOD crafts have been displayed at the fourth Irrawaddy Literary Festival in Mandalay attracted the event visitors who bought these handicrafts a lot.
The Irrawaddy Literary Festival, a not-for-profit has annually been held with the aim of opening up communication between Myanmar writers and their fellow authors worldwide. The three-day festival brought together a stellar cast of international and local writers.
The aim of selling wood craft at the expo is to inspire creativity and imagination of children through handiworks.
Between 3 and 5 November, a wide range of works were showcased at the festival, including houses, photo frames, Buddhist temples and pagodas, Mandalay palace and clock tower. Colourful pieces of wood to make a craft are also available at the event.
Based on design and size, the works were sold for between Ks1,500 and Ks20,000, said Thuta Min Nyo, one of handicraft makers.—Taintaman
