State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who is in Viet Nam to attend the meeting of ASEAN leaders and leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), met with Viet Nam President Tran Dai Quang at the meeting hall of the Administration Centre in Da Nang yesterday evening.
Discussed at the meeting were how to increase existing friendly bilateral relations, cooperate in the investment sector, increase trade, and regional and international matters.
The State Counsellor was accompanied at the meeting by National Security Advisor U Thaung Tun, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Tin, the Myanmar ambassador to Viet Nam U Kyaw Soe Win and other officials. With the President of Viet Nam were the Minister for the Viet Nam Government Office, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade. —Myanmar News Agency
