State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi met with Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Shinzo Abe yesterday in Manila at the Philippines International Convention Centre.
During the meeting, matters relating to Yangon city development and the transport sector, obtaining electric power,
Yangon-Mandalay railway line construction, increasing income in the agriculture sector, small and medium-sized loans, provision of Japanese Yen 1.2 billion to assist in development of ethnic regions, supporting and assisting the work of the State Counsellor in Rakhine State development, provision of Japanese Yen 1.5 billion for road construction and electrical product manufacturing and training of Myanmar Police Force personnel were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Tin and officials. — Myanmar News Agency
