A signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on energy sector cooperation between the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and the Finland Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment was held at the Ministry of Electricity and Energy meeting hall on the afternoon of 30 July.
The MoU was signed by Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy Dr. Tun Naing and Ambassador of Finland to Myanmar Ms. Riikka Laatu, on behalf of the Finland Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
The MoU was signed with the intention of Myanmar and Finland producing, distributing and managing electricity using renewable and clean energy sources and to cooperate over using energy effectively, it is learnt.
