Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr. Yohei Sasakawa, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan and Chairman of the Nippon Foundation, at the Bayintnaung Guest House in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
At the meeting, observations made by Mr. Sasakawa during his visit to Rakhine State; sales, seizures and eradication of drugs in Rakhine State; Mon State development works conducted by Japan; continued assistance by Japan toward conflict avoiding people and development works in Kachin State; Tatmadaw’s works toward internal peace and status of assistance provided by Japan were cordially discussed and views exchanged, according to information released by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services. — MNA (Translated by Zaw Min)
