THE opening season sales of the Yangon Book Street or the Saturday-Sunday Book Street” would end today, with literary talks and quiz. A book on manuscript written Academy award winner Myint Oo Oo Mying will be introduced with the bookworms and Author Maung Kyi Thit will give talks on “Novelist is Philosopher”.
In the afternoon, model Gonyi Aye Kyaw will conduct a literary quiz at the book street on Theinbyu Road in Botahtaung Township.
The book sales would be suspended and will be resumed after the monsoon season.
The Ministry of Information, with the assistance of Yangon Region government and Yangon City Development Committee, has been organizing the Weekend Yangon Book Street on Saturdays and Sundays since the end of monsoons in 2017.—Myanmar News Agency
