Interfaith Friendship and Unity Group (Myanmar) and Religions for Peace-Myanmar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Taw Win Garden Hotel, Dagon Township, Yangon yesterday morning.
At the ceremony a message sent by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was first read by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko. Next, the Union Minister delivered a speech explaining about Interfaith Friendship and Unity Group (Myanmar) and Religions for Peace-Myanmar and welcomes the signing of the MOU.
Afterwards the chairmen of the two MOU signing parties explained about their respective future works.
Following the explanations, honorable patrons of the two signing parties presented donations which were received by the Union Minister who in return presented certificate of honors.
Later, the MOU was signed and Buddhists, Hindus, Christians and Muslims conducted religion wise prayers followed by a concluding speech of the Union Minister.
