STATE Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi spoke at an event hosted by the Asia Society in New York about Myanmar’s development and the way forward for the nation on Wednesday evening.
During the event, the State Counsellor participated in a question-and-answer discussion with those present.
Present at the event were invitees, foreign policy experts, political scientists, businesspeople, local Newyorkers and students.
After the event, the State Counsellor attended a dinner hosted by the Asia Society.
State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi addressed the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly at UN Headquarters in New York, the United States in the afternoon on that day.
After addressing the UN General Assembly, the State Counsellor held talks with Mr. Lundeg Purevsuren, adviser to the Mongolian President on foreign policy, on policy matters between the two nations.
