On this auspicious occasion of the 2017 New Year Day, I send my greetings to all our respected and beloved ethnic nationalities and citizens, and wish them all good health and happiness.
Now is the time when we are transforming our country into a democratic state in accordance with the wishes of all the ethnic national races. So, it is necessary for all our citizens to join us to successfully reach our goal. And it is also the time for all the nationalities to contribute their labor and exert their efforts in unity for national reconciliation, internal peace and for the emergence of a Federal Democratic Union.
To achieve internal peace with peace and stability, for democratic transformations to continue with vigour, for our Union to endure, I pray that all of you would be able to work with unflagging zeal, constant vigilance and diligence to the best of your mental and physical abilities. May you all be able to work for the country and all the citizens more than ever before. It is my hope that in the New Year, all of you will be able to work with new mindsets and renewed strength for the country and future generations.
