National Level Political Dialogue for Regions (Taninthayi Region) successfully concludes

National Level Political Dialogue for Regions (Taninthayi Region) continued for the third day at Dawei University yesterday morning.
Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for National Level Dialogues for Taninthayi Region U Saw Lu Kar delivered an opening speech at the meeting, saying that peace is the goal of the national people and it is necessary for ethnic armed groups to participate in political dialogues as all provisions of the  political road map for the union peace are not difficult for them to abide by, before thanking organizers of the dialogue.
Political papers, economic papers and papers on land and natural resources submitted with additional comments on the second day of the dialogue were read out at the meeting.
Afterwards, Vice Chairman Phado Saw Kwe Htoo Win of the UPDJC thanked all those involved in organizing the dialogue and said that peace does not necessarily mean an end to war but the security of ethnic people in their daily lives and peace and national reconciliation and improvement of lives of ethnic people are synonymous.
Then, Chairman of the Peace Commission Dr Tin Myo Win said that the political dialogue is important and the political dialogue are being held in accordance with the provisions of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement before saying that he was glad to witness that participants discussed the voice of the public. The dialogue concluded with remarks by the Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region Dr Lei Lei Maw.
The chief minister and regional ministers of the region, the vice chairman and secretaries of the UPDJC, members of the organizing committee for regional level political dialogues, members of the JMCs, representatives of ethnic peoples, members of the Peace Commission, Hluttaw representatives, political parties, civil society organizations and official participated in the discussions.—Taninthayi Region IPRD
