State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi visited NLD Patron U Tin Oo yesterday evening at Yangon General Hospital’s cardiac ward
where the nonagenarian was recovering from a recent stroke.
The Nobel Peace laureate also solaced other patients at the heart surgery ward of the hospital.
At U Tin Oo’s bedside doctors briefed her on the patron’s condition,
informing her that the stroke had paralyzed a part of his body on 18 March.
U Tin Oo is on a restricted diet and is fully conscious. He has also regained use of parts of his body affected by the stroke.
He can sit upright for about 30 minutes at a time. U Tin Oo will undergo rehabilitation to regain mobility and clear speech.
