U Win Myint, the Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw, separately received Mr Khaled Mohamed Abdelrahman Abdelsalam, Ambassador of Egypt to Myanmar, and Ms Albertina Soliani, member of the Giuseppe Malpeli Association for Italy-Myanmar Friendship and former MP of Italy, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting with the ambassador, they discussed issues related to bilateral friendship and cooperation between the two parliaments and the peoples of the two countries.
At the meeting with Ms Albertina Soliani, the two sides exchanged views on Italy’s contribution to peace-making efforts in Myanmar and bilateral friendship and cooperation
between the two governments and the peoples of the two countries.
Also present at the calls were Deputy Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw U Ti Khun Myat and officials of the Pyithu Hluttaw Office.— Myanmar News Agency
